Anybody else excited about the return of Breaking Bad? July 15th isn’t too far off.
If you’re a Community fan, you can rest easy as the show will get at least 13 more episodes. In other news, Dane Cook will be starring in a “comedy” next season. Hopefully it goes the way of ‘The Paul Reiser Show’ and only exists for a few weeks.

If you’re looking for a new series to check out on Netflix, you may want to give LILYHAMMER a look.The show is about a mafia member who decides to give up his boss to the feds and join the witness protection program. To be safe, he wants to go to Norway. He also liked the Olympics that were held there in the 90’s.
The show has some dark humor and enjoyable characters. It avoids a lot of the obvious fish out of water moments that you might expect based on the premise. I found it to be worth the watch.
Double Fine game studios recently raised over a million dollars to develop an upcoming point and click adventure game through Kickstarter. This allows Double Fine to avoid the typical meddling that goes along with being funded by a corporate giant like EA. They get to do what they want without interference.
A number of TV shows and game series have died too soon because they no longer seemed financially viable. Can Kickstarter allow fans to fund projects that bring back the properties they love without having to depend on a big studio ultimately picking up the tab? Imagine if this service existed in the 1990’s and there was an actual conclusion to Twin Peaks. Maybe in a few years, we’ll know how much crowd sourced funding can actually accomplish.
