Funny, cool, or interesting reads every day of the week.
Maybe you should just make phone calls that aren’t being recorded when you’re founding a company and screwing people over.
It looks like our self driving car future is starting to really take off.
A real life lightsaber? Not exactly, but it’s probably the closest thing we’ll get anytime soon.
With the announcement today that a company backed by James Cameron and the current and former CEOs of Google will begin space mining by 2022, is the future of sci-fi movies and books almost here? We are getting closer to augmented reality glasses with Google’s Project Glass and Apple’s Siri provides a digital assistant that responds to voice commands. Autonomous cars that are self driving are being tested now and could be available in the near future.
When space colonization starts, I think we’ll almost be in the high tech future predicted by fiction. For the moment however, we’re in much the same world we have always been, with a few tools that make life just a bit cooler.
Did Tupac come back from the dead to perform at Coachella? Nope, just a hologram.

Google has released a video showcasing what their new glasses will be able to do. It looks impressive, and I could see some awesome third party apps being developed for this. Hopefully it comes out sooner than later and doesn’t require a ridiculous data plan.
Employers are now actually asking potential employees to either hand over their social media passwords or to allow access to their profiles. I wholeheartedly disagree with this practice, but it makes sense that a police department doesn’t want to hire someone who flouts the law online. This type of thing could be a slippery slope though. Maybe employers should just be stuck cyber stalking like the rest of us without having passwords.
The Back to the Future replica hover board is now available for pre order! It is $120, but Mattel has to receive sufficient orders to actually go through with shipping the product.
It doesn’t actually hover, it can just “glide” over most surfaces. Maybe there will be a video demonstration soon.
Apple has something that you need to see and touch next week. The iPad 3 announcement, or something much kinkier?
These adzero phone concepts have casings made of bamboo. I definitely would consider getting one of these assuming they run stock Android.
I have talked about this before, just watch the video and try to argue that this isn’t the future of computing.
This is a glimpse into the future of how our devices could work. Your phone can also be a fully functional desktop when hooked up to a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
